The TCRT1000 – 0.2 to 4mm Reflective Optical Sensor with Transistor Output is a through-hole infrared sensor that combines a 950 nm IR LED and a phototransistor detector in a single compact package. It works by emitting infrared light toward a surface and detecting the reflected light intensity, enabling accurate detection of objects, edges, or lines.

This sensor includes a daylight blocking filter, ensuring stable performance even in bright ambient light conditions. With a collector-emitter voltage of up to 32V and maximum collector current of 50 mA, the TCRT1000 is robust enough for industrial and hobby electronics projects.
