The TCRT1000 – 0.2 to 4mm Reflective Optical Sensor with Transistor Output is a through-hole infrared sensor that combines a 950 nm IR LED and a phototransistor detector in a single compact package. It works by emitting infrared light toward a surface and detecting the reflected light intensity, enabling accurate detection of objects, edges, or lines.

This sensor includes a daylight blocking filter, ensuring stable performance even in bright ambient light conditions. With a collector-emitter voltage of up to 32V and maximum collector current of 50 mA, the TCRT1000 is robust enough for industrial and hobby electronics projects.

Thanks to its small form factor, low forward voltage (1.25V), and wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C), the TCRT1000 reflective infrared sensor is widely used in line follower robots, motor control systems, optical encoders, and automation equipment.
