The Arduino Due R3 ARM Cortex-M3 Compatible Board by Micron Robotics is an advanced, open-source microcontroller board based on the Atmel SAM3X8E ARM Cortex-M3 CPU. It’s the first Arduino board to feature a powerful 32-bit ARM core, offering greater processing speed, enhanced memory, and improved I/O performance over traditional 8-bit boards.

This board features 54 digital input/output pins, with 12 configurable as PWM outputs, 12 analog inputs with 12-bit resolution, 4 UARTs, 2 DAC outputs, and an 84 MHz crystal oscillator. It also includes two USB ports — one native micro-USB AB (supports USB host mode) and one USB type-B (for programming and debugging).

The Arduino Due R3 supports 3.3V logic level, making it compatible with most 3.3V Arduino shields. It comes with 512KB Flash memory, 96KB SRAM, and built-in DMA control, ideal for handling memory-intensive operations efficiently.
